Banco Plata Expands Beyond Banking

Banco Plata Expands Beyond Banking

Hey Digital Banking Fanatic!

Banco Plata is preparing for its next chapter.

The Mexican digital bank is working toward launching its own brokerage business, with plans to begin operations by the end of 2026 once it receives regulatory approval.

It's a logical next step.

After building a customer base of more than three million users around banking products, Plata is now looking to bring investing in-house instead of relying on external partners. More digital banks are following the same path, adding wealth management alongside everyday banking as they look to deepen customer relationships.

And speaking of digital banking competition, keep scrolling for a comparison of Revolut and Nubank. While one continues expanding globally, the other is strengthening its dominance across Latin America, with Mexico becoming an increasingly important market for both.

See what else is shaping Digital Banking. ๐Ÿ‘‡ See you tomorrow!

Cheers,

Marcel
