Hey Digital Banking Fanatic!

Ericsson and FIS are teaming up to make it easier for companies to launch wallet-led financial services without having to stitch together banking, payments, identity, compliance, and ledger infrastructure themselves.

The idea is pretty straightforward: combine FIS’s payments and issuing capabilities with Ericsson’s cloud-native wallet infrastructure into one pre-connected platform. That could make launching digital financial products much faster, especially for telecoms, retailers, healthcare providers, and governments.

Ericsson says its fintech platform already supports 131 million active users and processes around $80 billion in transactions every month. So this is less about building another wallet and more about making the infrastructure behind one easier to deploy.

And that same problem of fragmented financial infrastructure is what Limited is tackling from a global business perspective, bringing accounts, payout rails, cards, and blockchain-based transfers into one platform.

Let’s get into today’s Digital Banking stories. 👇 See you tomorrow!

Cheers,

Marcel
