Hey Digital Banking Fanatic!

Digital banks targeting entrepreneurs and SMEs face a more complex challenge than those focused solely on individual consumers. Business banking comes with specific needs and requirements, and added complexity, which vary significantly between entrepreneurs and SMEs. That’s why some digital banks are now choosing between focusing on one segment or offering tailored solutions for multiple audiences.

Some players already positioning themselves in this space include Revolut, Holvi, Finom, and more. Today, we turn to Qonto, a France-based digital bank launched nearly a decade ago with a focus on entrepreneurs, microbusinesses, and SMEs. After acquiring a German competitor in 2022, Qonto now operates across eight European countries.

Qonto has been steadily enhancing its product. Earlier this week, it introduced new payment capabilities to give users more ways to receive payments. And now, it’s launching a new feature aimed at simplifying administrative and financial workflows for small businesses and accountants by automating repetitive tasks.

To make this happen, Qonto partnered with ACD, a widely used French software provider for accounting firms. Starting in September 2025, Qonto customers will be able to:

  • Pay supplier invoices directly from the i-Facture module
  • Sync Qonto accounts instantly
  • Automate accounting reconciliation in real time

ACD is connected to jedeclare.com, a key platform for fiscal declarations and banking exchanges. The integration will be available to Qonto users on Smart, Premium, Essential, Business, and Enterprise plans. Over 21,000 firms in France already rely on ACD, making this a highly relevant collaboration for many professionals.
