Mercury brings payroll into its banking platform

Mercury brings payroll into its banking platform
Mercury Launches Its Own Payroll Platform

Hey Digital Banking Fanatic!

Mercury is moving another step beyond banking. The company has just launched Mercury Payroll, bringing employee and contractor payroll, health benefits, 401(k) plans and tax compliance into the same account businesses already use for their money.

The idea is simple: founders shouldn’t have to juggle separate platforms, chase state registrations or worry about missing payroll tax deadlines. Mercury handles that administrative work across all 50 states, while its system can flag upcoming payroll shortfalls before payday.

I find the integration particularly interesting because payroll is one of the biggest ways money leaves a business. By connecting it directly to banking, Mercury can give companies better visibility into their cash flow and simplify the entire process, from hiring someone to paying their salary.

It’s another example of digital banking evolving from an account where you keep your money into a platform where you manage more and more of your business finances.

Here’s what else is happening in digital banking today👇

See you tomorrow!

Cheers,

Marcel
